Introduction:
Audiograbberis a beautiful piece of software that grabs digital audio from CD’s. It copies the audio digitally not through the soundcard that enables you to make perfect copies of the originals. It can even perform a test to see that the copies really are perfect.
Audiograbber copies music from CDs or external sources such as radios, cassettes, or turntables. The music is saved on your hard disk as WAV, MP3, WMA, or OGG files. Audiograbber has all the common features of CD-ripper programs, such as normalizing, encoding of external files, track-name downloading and uploading from and to FreeDB, and support for ID3 tags and CD Text.

Audiograbber 1.83 is a utility to grab digital audio from CDs. It supports English, French, Spanish, Italian and German. Audiograbber 1.83 does not record the audio through the sound card; it does it digitally, ensuring you perfect copies of the originals. The program can also perform a test to check that the copies are perfect.
Audiograbber 1.83 can normalize the output, delete silences from the start and/or end of tracks, and send them to a variety or external MP3 encoders. The program can download and upload disc info from freedb, an Internet compact disc database. You can record even your vinyl LP’s or cassette tapes and make wav’s or MP3′s from them.
After Installation, for an audio CD in your CD unit, it will recognize every track and can retrieve the themes lists form freedb. Then the retrieved names can be use to name resulting files. The speed of the process will depend on hardware specs, how much memory System have etc. A main advantage is it’s fast, powerful, and the output has high quality & it’s free.

Pros: The program is simple to use for whoever has a minimum of practice with an audio ripper and it is one of the best – if not the best – what I have tried. Moreover it’s translated in many languages, and this is a plus not to underestimate, especially if you have some problem with the English.
This is a very sophisticated program. It’s better than the rippers that cost money. They even did a great job on the help files. They explain everything the program does. And it does a lot. I will go so far as to say that this program is actually fun to use.
Cons:
The user must download and install the LAME MP3 codec separately. That feature is fairly well documented on the Audiograbber website, but might be a bit confusing to novices.
